The last time I visited the MFA it had a qin on display amongst scholarly objects in the China collection. A recording was playing, but it was one of a qin with metal strings, so in this way it was not historically accurate.

A search of the Museum online collections database shows at least two qins and a Japanese scroll painting called "Yu Zhi playing her qin".

  19th century; accession number 17.2057

The scroll painting is accession number 11.7795.
