Jiu Bian and Song Yu Bei Qiu #7:
In old age I am alone and homeless (poem 8, line 16)
--
The long nights of autumn depress me. Seasons have come and gone, leaving me distraught. Now in old age, although I am alone and homeless, uncertainty keeps me from leaving. (Poem 9) As dark clouds can hide the moon, so can the loyalty of those like me be hidden by the unrighteous.
