Bai Yunli 白雲立

Bai Yunli,1 a contemporary Hangzhou painter, did many of the paintings and illustrations on this website.2 These are mostly copies of, or in the style of, famous ancient works. In addition to this style of painting he has also done more individual works. These can be seen at such places in Hangzhou as the Zhejiang Xizi Hotel, Hangzhou Tower, and Bank of China Zhejiang Branch, as well as in several hotels in Shanghai. He began his art training while doing his military service in Nanjing. There he was greatly influenced by his cousin A Hai (Kong Jinghai), a graduate of the Nanjing Arts Institute. In 1998 Bai Yunli did a year of advanced training at the China Academy of Art in his native Hangzhou.

This painting by Bai Yunli is about 2 meters high
