Lu Cangyong (ca. 660 - ca. 714) was a noted Daoist, writer, recluse, qin and chess player. He was one of the Transcendent Group of 10 Friends. His closest friends included 陳子昂 Chen Zi'ang and 趙正固 Zhao Zhenggu (=#118 趙元 Zhao Yuan?).

The original Qin Shi essay begins as follows:

Lu Cangyong, style name Ziqian, was from Fanyang in Youzhou....
