Zhou Gong 周公

Zhou Gong wrote Yueshang Cao (YFSJ, p.831f) after the people of Annam sent a tributary emissary to honor Cheng Wang.
He wrote 臨深操 Linshen Cao (30758.150 "approaching an abyss", doesn't connect to qin, but connects to Book of Songs #195) concerning his responsibilities (?).
It was under Zhou Gong's direction that much of the Shi Jing (namely: 二南 Two Souths [Airs of 周 Zhou and 召 Shao], [大、小]雅 the Odes, and 頌 the Hymns [周、魯、商]) all became qin melodies. They thus had good effects at court, in the countryside, in the homes and at schools.

The entry does not mention the melody Zhou Jin Teng (Qin Cao, Hejian Zage, #6).

3. 周公之製 (Qin) as made by Zhou Gong
The original of this image, from a series (宋人畫歷代琴式圖) that includes this 堯帝琴式 Yao qin style, is in the 國立故宮博物院 National Palace Museum. The text accompanying the image is as follows,

"周公名旦。有聖德多才藝。制禮作樂，朝諸侯於明堂。而樂音。由是而佳焉。"

The online reproduction is somewhat unclear, but there seems to be no mention of the qin other than in the picture title.

The Chinese text of the Qin Shi entry is as follows:

周公以聖人之才。佐文武、定王業、相成王、致太平，於是四海和會。

越裳氏重九譯而來貢，周公曰：「此非旦之力也，文王之德也。」廼援琴而鼓之，故曰《越裳操》，喜遠人之服而歸美於先王也。

或云又有《臨深操》，蓋言當天下之任而益加恭慎也。

當周公之制禮也，詩之二南、雅頌，皆奏之於歌詠，播之管弦，然則二南、雅頌者亦為琴之曲也。

是故作之朝廷則君臣和而治本成。作之鄉黨則仁義修而人倫厚。作之閨門則父子親而家道正。作之庠序則師友惇而學藝成，

琴之所補豈小哉？是以君子重之。
