In the collection of the Beijing Library. Printed in the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty, compiled by Zhang Daming of the Ming dynasty. The whole book is divided into two parts: original and continuation. The first folio of the original part has Zhang Daming's own preface (year and month not indicated), after this there is a table of contents. The first folio has Things One Must Know to Study Qin, the second to fourth folios are qin melodies, including 42 melodies in all. The continuation is called Qinpu Qimeng. The first folio has Zhang Daming's Introduction to the Continuation of the Printed Handbook Qinpu Qimeng; after this the Table of Contents for the (Yangchun Tang Qinpu) Continuation, then 10 qin songs. At the end is 刪選捷要字母 (an explanation of finger techniques), an afterword by Wang Yu of Fujian, then an afterword dated 1611 by Yang Rongguang (last page is missing).
This handbook, as with Qin Jing, was later 劖改 truncated and renamed Taigu Zhengyin Qinpu by 沈國裕 Shen Guoyu.... ....(translation incomplete)
