Li Sao (Falling into Grief) #9:
By 白云立 Bai Yunli |
離騷圖 #9
(Qu Yuan) goes to Emperor Shun and makes a statement (line 144) |
(04.12- 04.35 of the Li Sao recording)
Qu Yuan then crosses the Yuan and Xiang rivers, and travels to the mountains of southern Chu, where the ancient emperor Shun is said to have died and been buried. Qu Yuan tells Shun that whereas evil rulers all came to bad ends, good rulers found good advisors and so flourished. He thus has no regret for choosing to be loyal and upright.
