Traveling on, Qu Yuan from heaven sees Jian Di, ancestress of the Shang royal line. He has sent a phoenix with his proposal to her, but fears that the proposal of the god Gao Xin will arrive first (it does), and he doesn't know whether to wait. Qu Yuan then leaves to pursue the two daughters of Lord Yu, but once again a corrupt world causes him to fail.
