Li Sao (Falling into Grief) #11:
By 白云立 Bai Yunli |
離騷圖 #11
(Qu Yuan) goes to (the water spirit) Fu Fei and makes a pledge (lines 221-222) |
(05.14- 05.47 of the Li Sao recording)
Suddenly Qu Yuan finds himself in the east, from which he goes to see the water spirit Fu Fei. With someone called "the lame beauty" as an intermediary, Qu Yuan tries to woo Fu Fei, but he soon decides that she cannot be trusted: in the evenings she dallies with Lord Yi and in the morning with the River God.
